Mission Statement
Commissioning new works, digging for lost treasures and breathing new life into the classics, Treadwell Theatre Co. has a particular focus on the stories of historical figures and seminal characters from literature and drama. By the intentional use of movement, music, silence and heightened theatricality we seek to entertain and engage the audience with history as a mirror to our common human experience.
History
Treadwell Theatre Co. premeried its first two productions Promenading with Lunatics and Making (up) History: Searching for Annie Moore at the inagural and second annual Capital Fringe Festivals in Washington, DC. Both shows performed to sold out audiences and were well received. Thank you to everyone that made them happen and the audiences that came out and enjoyed themselves!
